The latest report from large German retailer Mindfactory shows that AMD is still ahead in graphics card sales this week, compared to its main rival, Nvidia. While the German market may be relatively small, it is a testament to how well the RX 9070 XT is performing so far – and seems to suggest some Team Red favoritism in this region.

According to figures released on Twitter/X by TechEpiphany, Mindfactory continues to report strong sales of AMD Radeon graphics cards. Leading the pack is the RX 9070 XT, with 245 cards sold this week. In second place is the RX 7800 XT with 70 cards sold.

RDNA 4 off to a great start this week

By contrast, the best-selling Nvidia card this week, according to these numbers, was the RTX 5070 with a mere 40 cards sold. The RTX 5070 Ti comes next, with 30 cards sold. Tallying up the results shows that all the Nvidia cards totalled 125 sales, including the lowly RTX 3050 (which has been a surprise appearance on Amazon’s best sellers list this week).

It is notable that a previous generation card from AMD is doing better sales numbers than the entire RTX 50 range. Though Germany is a small market compared to the massive customer bases like China or the USA, the results are still interesting. AMD CEO Lisa Su said in a recent interview that the Radeon RX 9070 XT sold ten times more than previous generations in its first week. Some of this can be put down to Nvidia’s lack of stock, and some to pricing.

Either way, sales of Nvidia GPUs seem to have stagnated while AMD sales remain strong. The launch of the RTX 5060 might shake things up a bit, but AMD is in a good position right now. On top of that, RX 9070 series pricing seems to be slowly settling.
