What we like about this Corsair Vengeance gaming PC

Powerhouse GPU and CPU combo

This build ops for a powerful combination of an RTX 5080 and a top-end Intel Core i9 14900KF processor. First up, the RTX 5080 is one of the best graphics cards you can get for 4K, boasting 16GB of new and improved GDDR7 VRAM, alongside new features like MFG, which can be used to push perceived framerates higher, and also features 4th-gen ray tracing and 5th-gen tensor cores, too. When we reviewed the RTX 5080 FE, we were impressed with its 4K performance in games like Cyberpunk 2077, where it easily hit 35fps at ultra settings, with ray tracing enabled, with no help from DLSS. Considering this a very demanding game to run, you can easily expect high double digits or over 100fps with most games at 4K with ray tracing at ultra settings. Doom Eternal, for example, got 191fps at 4K with ray tracing. We’ve also reviewed the ‘F’ variant of the i9-14900, which we thought was a complete powerhouse thanks to its hefty 24-core, 32-thread count, high boost clock speed of 5.8GHz, and large 36MB L3 cache. A very good all-rounder, and a more affordable option nowadays, thanks to Intel’s more recently released Core Ultra Series.

High-end Corsair components

Corsair makes some of the very best PC components you can get, and this rig is full to the brim with them. You’ve got 64G of Corsair Dominator Titanium RGB DDR5 RAM, which will make short work of multitasking, beefy system requirements, and running RAM-intensive applications like Adobe Premiere Pro. On top of that, you’ve got a Corsair 1000W 80+ Gold PSU and liquid CPU cooler, all encased in a great-looking, roomy Corsair mid-tower ATX case. Not to mention, this build also features Corsair’s iCUE software, which can be used to control the lighting, fan, and pump speeds, and more.

Considerations before buying

There are a couple of things to factor in before making your final decision here. One is whether you want to opt for an Intel 14th Gen CPU over a Ryzen X3D processor, the latter being generally better when it comes to gaming performance due to their massive L3 caches. The other is being aware of the premium you’re paying to have something with this level of build quality, as it is possible to grab a gaming PC with the same GPU and CPU setup for less, if you head to some of the other brands, like Skytech, iBuyPower, or CyberpowerPC. Corsair gaming PCs are some of the best you can get, and they’re well worth it if you want serious quality across more than just the GPU and CPU, but it’s worth knowing that you can grab an RTX 5080 gaming PC for closer to $2,500 in some cases, which is far more affordable.
