For some time now, we’ve been aware of the growing popularity of 3D printing among our community, confirming a new dimension in the world of PC personalization/customization. Clearly, Noctua has sensed this too, as the company has just taken the next step with its official 3D printing filaments: Noctua Brown and Noctua Beige.
These filaments are actually produced by Prusa and form part of its Prusament PLA range. They are now available in 1 kg spools, and their colors match Noctua’s iconic color palette.
Love 3D printing and Noctua brown?
Noctua and Prusa already went their separate ways a few years ago. For example, on the Printables site, Noctua shares a varied selection of print-ready designs. These models harness the power of 3D printing to create functional accessories tailored to the needs of hardware enthusiasts. For example, you can find the template to print a 120 mm ventilation grille by Noctua, designed to minimize noise while ensuring optimum air circulation. Another notable example is the customized side panel, optimized to reduce noise and compatible with the Framework Desktop modular case. We also saw one of the brand’s fans, specially declined in 24V for integration in a 3D printer.

But to mark the arrival of these filaments, Prusa and Noctua have created a “Noctua Edition” version of the MK4S 3D printer. All parts are available on Printables. All you have to do is print them with Noctua filament to create your own printer. The paradox of this story, as you’ll have gathered, is that you’ll already need a printer to print the MK4S Noctua Edition 3D printer.
