Patriot memory takes extreme RAM overclocking to a new level. In fact, a Viper Xtreme 5 DDR5 kit achieves an insane RAM frequency, breaking the 13200 MT/s barrier. In the hands of AIMax, the kit reaches, very precisely, the frequency of 13211 MT/s. Once again, we find a Z890 Aorus Tachyon Ice as the basis for this record!
RAM frequency: a Z890 Tachyon Ice pushes a Viper Xtreme 5 kit to 13211 MT/s!
When it comes to RAM frequency records, the memory kits are always different, but the basic configuration remains the same. Indeed, at the very base, we have a Gigabyte Z890 Aorus Tachyon Ice motherboard, dedicated to extreme overclocking. On this board, we also find an Intel Core Ultra 7 265K processor and the famous Viper Xtreme 5 memory.
Of course, to reach such a high frequency, some very specific parameters had to be applied. For example, the processor only ran at 2.08 GHz. The multiplication coefficient was lowered to x20, while the BCLK was pushed to 104.31 MHz. Of course, the memory was overclocked to 6605.7 MHz. But the timings were only 68-127-127-127-2, all with a 3:190 ratio. Naturally, liquid nitrogen cooling was used on both CPU and RAM.
Once again, Gigabyte has set a new record for RAM overclocking, leaving rival motherboards out in the cold… A new meta? Certainly. In any case, this score is also a good advertisement for Patriot, which can use it as a sales argument to promote the qualities of its Viper Xtreme 5 kits!
In the meantime, a big GG to AIMax for this fine performance, which you can find on HWBot :
